TECHNICAL
SUPPORT
When I click on a video file it asks me for my Username
and Password again. Why is this?
We have found that some users who use Windows Media
Player to view the movies are required to reenter their
Username and Password to view the movie. This is due to
New Security features that have been added to Media Player
that conflict with our Server. You can still view the movie
by entering your details or alternatively you can do the
following.
- Go
into Media Player, go to Tools and then Options.
- Click
on File Types and you should get a list of types Media
Player supports.
- You
will see that MPG is ticked. Deselect MPEG.
- If
you deselect MPG one of the following 2 things will happen
when you go to view the movie next.
- It
will automatically start downloading to your computer.
-
It will start playing in another player (probably
Quicktime) .
Alternatively
you can right click on the movie link and click Save Target
As. This will allow you to save the movie to your computer,
so you don't have to go back online to view it again in
the future.
When
I click on one of the movies a page comes up but no video
plays. Whats Wrong?
More then likely you do not have the required player
installed on your Computer. The latest Videos require Media
Player or Quicktime, and the older Videos require Quicktime.
Our Streaming Videos require you to have Real Player Installed.
If you do not have these players on your computer they can
be downloaded for FREE. Please refer to the How to Download
Section below.
Is
it possible for me to save the Pictures to my computer for
my own private viewing?
Yes it is! All you need to do is right click on the
image and select "Save Picture As" .
Please Note that you can only use these pictures
for Personal Viewing and it is against the law for you to
reproduce or redistribute these images in any, way shape
or form.
Is
it possible for me to save the videos to my computer for
private viewing later?
For some Yes, for other No. The majority of our Videos
are in MPG format which can all be downloaded by you right
clicking on the link to the Video and selecting "Save
Target As" . The other Videos which are in Real or
Quicktime can not be downloaded. Please
Note that you can only use these Videos for Personal
Viewing and it is against the law for you to reproduce or
redistribute these videos in any way, shape or form.
Why
do the videos take so long to download?
The videos can take along time to download as we have
tried to supply you with the best comprimise between file
download and Video Quality. It has taken alot of Member
input to get the videos to the setup we currently have,
and we feel if we compressed the videos heavier then you
would be extremely disappointed with us. If you feel we
are not doing this right please email us at webmaster@boybucks.net
so we can look at improving things further.
Why is the latest model on the front of the site different
to the latest model in the members area?
It is possible that your Members Area is cached. We
are constantly enhancing the Members area so if you feel
you are not seeing the latest Model, please right click
on the page and hit refresh. If you still do not see the
right screen then send an email to webmaster@boybucks.net
with the URL of the page you are viewing and we will see
if you are accessing an old page. All of our main members
pages are now generated Server Side, which means they should
never cache on your Computer.
Which Internet Browsers do you support?
We currently support the Latest Versions of Internet
Explorer and Netscape. We do not run any fancy scripts on
our sites so alot of the older Browsers should also be compatible.
Basically if you can see this ok, get through the tours
and signup we support your Browser. If you have any problems
after becoming a Member then we will see if we can also
make the site compatible to the browser you are using.
Do
you support Web TV?
Only to a degree. Although our Company is based in the
US, the majority of development is done offshore. The Countries
in which we develop from do not have Web TV so they are
unable to develop to support Web TV. We have also heard
that it is basically impossible to get Video working with
Web TV. We do not know if this is true, however if you are
using Web TV, then let me warn you that the videos may not
work.
